A CUP OF COLD WATER

The Reward of Service

Matthew 10:39-42

“He who receives and welcomes you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.

He who receives and welcomes a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward; and he who receives a righteous (honorable) man because he is a righteous man will receive a righteous man’s reward.

And whoever gives to one of these little ones [these who are humble in rank or influence] even a cup of cold water to drink because he is my disciple, truly I say to you, he will not lose his reward.”

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wow! I honestly just saw this passage more clearly for the first time - just now.
This is so powerful!
When you support those in ministry, not only do you further the Kingdom to the saving of souls and transforming of lives; but this passage explains how YOU will also personally benefit from the anointing of those on the front lines!
When you receive those sent by God, YOU are actually receiving God and His Kingdom at work.
When you receive and welcome a prophet, YOU will receive a prophet's reward.
When you receive and respect a righteous man, YOU will receive a righteous man's reward - and, Psalm 103 says that there are "benefits" for those who bless the Lord.
When you supply "drink" (refreshing, encouragement, aid, financial support, honor, respect, volunteer, pray for, etc.) those who humbly give of their life to help others mature in Christ, YOU will not lose your reward.
So... if you are praying for God to do something in YOUR LIFE today, be sure to bless those who are sent by God.
If there is someone you know who pours into your life on a regular basis, maybe it's time for you to pour back.
Your prayers and financial support of this ministry are coveted and greatly appreciated.
We spend hours, days and months studying, writing and teaching so that others - LIKE YOU - can be filled with the Word of God and grow in your walk with the Lord.
If God has blessed you through this ministry, please consider becoming a monthly partner with us.
Partnerships start at only $5 per month.
And, for those who wish to join with us by becoming a "Remnant Partner," your $25 a month gift will make an even greater impact.
Thank you so much for sharing a cup of cold water with us today.
Whether a monthly partner (at any level - even $1 per month helps) or by being a one-time donor, we THANK YOU for refreshing our soul to the glory of God.
WISDOM - COUNSEL - MIGHT - KNOWLEDGE - UNDERSTANDING - RIGHTEOUSNESS
Not as one who judges things according to the natural senses such as sight or sound. But rather, judging things according to the standard of the Word of God through the eyes of the Spirit.
#Jesus
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:

And the SPIRIT OF THE LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord;

And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the Lord: and he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the hearing of his ears:

But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth: with the rod of his mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

And righteousness shall be the girdle of his loins, and faithfulness the girdle of his reins."

When coming across certain words in scripture of which you may not fully understand the meaning, look for patterns. Find that word being used elsewhere in the Bible.

When you seek answers in God's Word, you will find them.

Seek and you WILL find.

Break the Spirit of Religion

PRAYER TO BREAK THE POWER OF THE SPIRIT OF RELIGION

Loving Father, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ your Son, relying only on His finished work on the Cross for me and proclaiming my complete dependence upon Him.

Please forgive every way I have sinned against you, others or myself. I receive your forgiveness. Thank you that I am covered in Jesus’ blood and righteousness.

In the name of Jesus, I repent and renounce every opening, known or unknown that my ancestors or I have given to any spirit of religion in my family line. I repent and renounce every spirit of religion or religious spirit, and every work of darkness connected with it.

Father God, I repent for not fully receiving your love, compassion, mercy and forgiveness. I renounce the belief that you are distant, unkind or judgmental. I choose to know you intimately and embrace the truth of all you are.

In the name of Jesus, I repent of being led by any spirit other than the Holy Spirit.

I repent of relying on my own intellect in worship, prayer, spiritual warfare or study of the Bible. In the name of Jesus I repent and renounce all legalism, traditions and religious formulas, and dullness and hardness of heart to the things of God.

I now choose to invite the Holy Spirit to come and soften my heart and enlarge my spirit and soul to accommodate all God wants for me. Come, Holy Spirit.

I repent and renounce every person’s opinion of me that is different from my heavenly Father’s.

I repent and renounce all compromises of my attitude toward sin. I repent of covering or excusing sin, for not confessing sin, for not receiving correction and for being defensive and rationalizing my sin.

I repent and renounce all deception and self-deception, hypocrisy, pride, arrogance and self-righteousness.

I repent and renounce all comparison, judgment, criticism, judgmental or critical spirit, gossip, envy and anger.

I repent and renounce all persecution and slander of those (who should have been) controlled by the Holy Spirit, especially any leader who had authority over me.

I repent and renounce every act of rebellion that reinforced the spirit of religion.

I repent and renounce all fears that caused me to allow the religious spirit into my life. I renounce the lie that I need to work to earn my Father’s love and acceptance.

I come out of agreement with the enemies of Most High God in every area and choose to come into agreement with the true Living God. I declare my submission to God and his Word and ask the Holy Spirit to keep me in alignment with his plans, purposes and ways.

In the name of Jesus, I now break every other legal right, known or unknown, for the spirit of religion to stay in my life or my family’s life.

Father God, I humbly ask for the blood of Jesus Christ, my Savior, to cleanse me from all the sins I have confessed and renounced. I receive your cleansing and forgiveness.

Father, thank you for your forgiveness and grace. Please, fill me with your love and restore all that was lost or stolen, Thank you for your Holy Spirit who fills, guides and restores me. Come into the center of my life, Lord Jesus, and rule in me.

In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

Psalm 46 - God Our Help

Bookmark and Share

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." - Psalm 46:1 (KJV)

If you need help today, call on Him.

God promises to help us when we call on Him with a humble heart.

Purify yourself.

Lay down your agenda, your attitude, your prejudices, your vices, your rebellion...

Leave your sin at the door and enter into His tabernacle.

He is God.

His way is the right way.

His ways bring healing, hope and peace.

He is your help.

He is your refuge and strength.

He is YOUR SALVATION.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
HERE IS THE ENTIRE PSALM 46 (JUB)
46 ¶ God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in tribulation.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea,
3 though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the violence thereof. Selah.
4 There is a river, the streams of which shall make glad the city of God, the sanctuary of the tents of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God shall help her, as the morning dawns.
6 ¶ The Gentiles raged, the kingdoms were moved; he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
7 The LORD of the hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he has made in the earth.
9 He makes wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and cuts the spear in sunder; he burns the chariot in the fire.
10 Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted in the Gentiles, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 The LORD of the hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
God Wants to Save YOU from Yourself!
Bookmark and Share
He made a way through Jesus, The Christ, for mankind to enter into the Kingdom of God (in this life and in the life to come).
God cares about every hair on your head.
He wants to show you all of His benefits.
But the only way that you can clearly see His benefits is when you accept being born again.
Once you are born again, you'll be able to hear Him, understand Him, receive the benefits of His Salvation, participate in Kingdom activity and live forever!
The born again experience is the first door that you must enter to understand the mysteries of God.
SO, ... WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE BORN AGAIN, ANYWAY?
Here is the Bible answer...
John 3 (MSG)
There was a man of the Pharisee sect, Nicodemus, a prominent leader among the Jews. Late one night he visited Jesus and said, “Rabbi, we all know you’re a teacher straight from God. No one could do all the God-pointing, God-revealing acts you do if God weren’t in on it.”
Jesus said, “You’re absolutely right. Take it from me: Unless a person is born from above, it’s not possible to see what I’m pointing to—to God’s kingdom.”
“How can anyone,” said Nicodemus, “be born who has already been born and grown up? You can’t re-enter your mother’s womb and be born again. What are you saying with this ‘born-from-above’ talk?”
Jesus said, “You’re not listening. Let me say it again. Unless a person submits to this original creation—the ‘wind-hovering-over-the-water’ creation, the invisible moving the visible, a baptism into a new life—it’s not possible to enter God’s kingdom. When you look at a baby, it’s just that: a body you can look at and touch. But the person who takes shape within is formed by something you can’t see and touch—the Spirit—and becomes a living spirit.
“So don’t be so surprised when I tell you that you have to be ‘born from above’—out of this world, so to speak. You know well enough how the wind blows this way and that. You hear it rustling through the trees, but you have no idea where it comes from or where it’s headed next. That’s the way it is with everyone ‘born from above’ by the wind of God, the Spirit of God.”
Nicodemus asked, “What do you mean by this? How does this happen?”
Jesus said, “You’re a respected teacher of Israel and you don’t know these basics? Listen carefully. I’m speaking sober truth to you. I speak only of what I know by experience; I give witness only to what I have seen with my own eyes. There is nothing secondhand here, no hearsay. Yet instead of facing the evidence and accepting it, you procrastinate with questions. If I tell you things that are plain as the hand before your face and you don’t believe me, what use is there in telling you of things you can’t see, the things of God?
“No one has ever gone up into the presence of God except the One who came down from that Presence, the Son of Man. In the same way that Moses lifted the serpent in the desert so people could have something to see and then believe, it is necessary for the Son of Man to be lifted up—and everyone who looks up to him, trusting and expectant, will gain a real life, eternal life.
“This is how much God loved the world: He gave his Son, his one and only Son. And this is why: so that no one need be destroyed; by believing in him, anyone can have a whole and lasting life. God didn’t go to all the trouble of sending his Son merely to point an accusing finger, telling the world how bad it was. He came to help, to put the world right again. Anyone who trusts in him is acquitted; anyone who refuses to trust him has long since been under the death sentence without knowing it. And why? Because of that person’s failure to believe in the one-of-a-kind Son of God when introduced to him.
“This is the crisis we’re in: God-light streamed into the world, but men and women everywhere ran for the darkness. They went for the darkness because they were not really interested in pleasing God. Everyone who makes a practice of doing evil, addicted to denial and illusion, hates God-light and won’t come near it, fearing a painful exposure. But anyone working and living in truth and reality welcomes God-light so the work can be seen for the God-work it is.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Salvation is so simple and yet many will miss it because their mind gets in the way of their heart.

Just believe.

Be like a little child.

Lay down your fear.

Lay down your defenses.

Lay down your pride.

Lay down your sin.

Jesus is waiting to give you LIFE ETERNAL!

HE IS REACHING DOWN TO SAVE YOU FROM YOURSELF!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
John 3:16-21 (KJV)
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God."
Battles of Faith
Bookmark and Share
1 Timothy 6:12 (KJV)
"FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and have PROFESSED a good profession BEFORE MANY WITNESSES."
Christian, let your faith be in the offensive and not the defensive so that the Kingdom of God is displayed with power and authority.
And above all, do everything in LOVE.
‭‭1 Corinthians ‭16:14‬ ‭(AMP)
“Let everything you do be done in love [motivated and inspired by God’s love for us].”
LOVE is truth.
LOVE is kind.
LOVE is passionate.
LOVE is compassionate.
LOVE never fails.
Christian, ask God for wisdom of how to come against principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness and spiritual wickedness.
Ephesians‬ ‭6:12‬ ‭(KJV‬‬)
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Now, armor up and GO into all the world with confidence!
